Job summary

Short Story is seeking a highly organized HR & Recruiting Coordinator to join our South San Francisco fulfillment center. This is a hands-on role on the warehouse floor, focusing on high-volume hourly recruiting and day-to-day HR operations.

You’ll partner with the Warehouse Manager and People Operations to screen, interview, onboard new hires, and maintain accurate records. A strong owner mindset and the ability to move quickly in a fast-growing startup are essential.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years of HR administration, recruiting, or operations support in a warehouse or retail setting.
• On-site, 100% at South San Francisco warehouse.
• Fluent in English and Spanish.
• Strong attention to detail and record-keeping.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• High-volume sourcing and interview scheduling for warehouse roles.
• Lead weekly onboarding orientations and new hire setup.
• Maintain accurate timekeeping and employee files.
• Serve as the frontline HR contact for frontline staff.
