Job summary

Short Story is seeking a highly organized HR & Recruiting Coordinator to join our South San Francisco fulfillment center. This hands-on role focuses on high-volume hourly recruiting and day-to-day HR operations on the warehouse floor, partnering with the Warehouse Manager, People Operations, and the Director of HR.

You will run sourcing, screen candidates, coordinate onboarding, manage timekeeping and records, and serve as the first point of contact for frontline staff on HR questions.

Qualifications

• 3-4 years of experience in HR administration, recruiting, or operations support in a warehouse, fulfillment, retail, or hospitality environment.
• Location: 100% on-site at our South San Francisco warehouse.
• English and Spanish strongly preferred

Responsibilities

• High-Volume Sourcing: Manage pipeline for warehouse roles using ATS and keep candidate records accurate.
• Screen and conduct in-person screens to assess reliability, attitude, and fit; coordinate interviews.
• Scheduling: Coordinate interviews onsite and maintain short process times.
• Onboarding & Orientation: Lead weekly day-one orientations, set up in systems, and deliver basic safety orientation.
