Job summary

Short Story is a fast-growing, technology-powered retailer serving petite women at our South San Francisco fulfillment center. We seek an organized HR & Recruiting Coordinator to run high-volume hourly recruiting and support day-to-day HR operations in collaboration with People Operations and the Director of HR.

You will own hourly recruiting, onboarding, timekeeping, and frontline HR support, spending time on the warehouse floor to stay connected with the team you support.

Qualifications

• 3-4 years of experience in HR administration, recruiting, or operations support in a warehouse, fulfillment, retail, or hospitality environment.
• 100% on-site at our South San Francisco warehouse.
• English and Spanish strongly preferred.
• Attention to detail with clean records and organized files.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and professional communication.

Responsibilities

• High-Volume Sourcing and onboarding for warehouse roles using our ATS; maintain current candidate records.
• Screening and conducting in-person screens to assess reliability, attitude, and fit; coordinate interviews for the Warehouse Manager.
• Schedule interviews onsite and move the process quickly with short lag times.
• Lead weekly day-one orientations, set up new hires in systems, and deliver basic safety orientation.
• Maintain accurate timekeeping and attendance records; support break-schedule administration.
