Job summary

Gowan USA in Yuma, AZ is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to support day-to-day HR operations onsite. You will serve as a central contact for employees and managers, ensuring HR practices align with policies and applicable laws.

In this Full-Time, Exempt role, you will manage recruitment, onboarding, performance management, benefits, HR records, and employee engagement, while advising on policies and ensuring compliance with FMLA, ADA, EEO, and state requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
• SHRM-CP or PHR certification is preferred.
• 2 to 4 years of experience in a generalist HR role.
• Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Administer onboarding, new hire orientation, and exit interviews.
• Provide guidance on policies and manage employee relations.
• Oversee benefits administration including health insurance and 401(k).
• Ensure compliance with FMLA, ADA, EEO, and state/local laws.
• Coordinate recruitment, from posting to interview scheduling and offers.
• Administer performance management and development plans.
• Maintain accurate HR records in HRIS and audits of policies/files.
• Support training programs and attendance tracking.
• Assist HR Manager with investigations, disciplinary actions, and employee concerns.
• Foster employee engagement and prepare HR metrics reports.
