Job summary

Akralos Animal Nutrition LLC in Quincy, IL seeks a Human Resources Coordinator to provide administrative and operational HR support onsite. You will partner with the HR Business Partner, manage recruitment cycles, onboarding, and employee records, and ensure compliance with HR policies and legal requirements.

The role requires 2–4 years HR/administrative experience, an associate degree (bachelor's preferred), and proficiency with HRIS, ATS, and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in human resources or business administration (bachelor’s degree preferred) or equivalent experience.
• 2 to 4 years of HR, administrative, or office experience, ideally including HRIS, recruiting, and benefits support.
• Working knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
• Experience with an HRIS or applicant tracking system is a significant plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

• Partner with HRBP throughout recruitment cycle, including job requisitions, posting roles, scheduling interviews, candidate correspondence, background checks, offers, onboarding forms, and I-9 verification.
• Plan, lead, and support new hire onboarding and orientation activities.
• Maintain accurate employee records in the HRIS and personnel files.
• Support employment verifications and generate headcount, turnover, and open positions reports.
• Answer HR questions via phone and email, escalating to HR leadership when needed.
• Coordinate training sessions, orientations, and employee events; book rooms and prepare materials.
• Track required documents and manage expiration dates (licenses, certifications, work authorizations).
• Manage department billing and invoicing to ensure timely payments.
• Administer the Company vehicle program.
• Handle offboarding, COBRA notices, and required paperwork.
• Monitor compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and postings.
• Order office supplies, file and scan documents, support audits by retrieving records.
• Update HR resources including SharePoint, employee handbook, job descriptions, and policies.
