Job summary

Elevate Patient Financial Solutions is seeking a Hospital Based Patient Advocate in Columbus, OH, for a part-time, on-site role. You will greet patients in their hospital rooms and guide uninsured individuals through eligibility and financial assistance processes.

The role emphasizes bedside interaction, accurate documentation, and collaboration with hospital staff to meet performance benchmarks and HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• Some college coursework preferred.
• Prior hospital experience preferred.
• Experience with state and federal programs is a plus.
• Strong communication and multitasking skills.
• Familiarity with HIPAA and patient privacy requirements.

Responsibilities

• Screen uninsured hospital patients at bedside to determine eligibility for federal/state programs.
• Complete applications and follow through until approved.
• Document cases accurately in Elevate PFS and hospital systems.
• Provide exceptional customer service at all times.
• Maintain and manage patient accounts in the assigned work queue.
