Elevate Patient Financial Solutions in Bemidji, MN is seeking a Hospital Based Patient Advocate to guide uninsured hospital patients through medical and disability assistance programs. This full-time, onsite role places you in patient rooms to assist with eligibility and enrollment processes, with a target to screen patients at bedside.

The position emphasizes face-to-face advocacy, collaboration with hospital staff, and adherence to HIPAA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Screen uninsured hospital patients at bedside to determine eligibility for federal, state, and county programs.
• Complete applications and follow through until approval.
• Document cases accurately in Elevate PFS and hospital systems.
• Provide exceptional customer service at all times.
• Maintain and manage a structured work queue of patient accounts.
• Collaborate with hospital staff, case managers, social workers, and financial counselors.
• Handle calls and coordinate enrollment/renewal paperwork for Medicaid patients.
