Elevate Patient Financial Solutions is seeking a Hospital Based Patient Advocate located onsite at a hospital in Alexandria, MN. This full-time role runs Mon-Fri from 8:00am to 4:30pm CST, with driving required and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Some college coursework preferred.
• Prior hospital experience preferred.
• Adaptability with changing processes and systems.
• Experience with state and federal programs.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Screen uninsured hospital patients at bedside to determine eligibility for federal/state programs.
• Complete applications and follow through until approved.
• Document cases accurately in Elevate PFS and hospital systems.
• Provide exceptional customer service at all times.
• Maintain and manage a work queue of patient accounts.
• Collaborate with hospital staff, case managers, social workers, and financial counselors.
• Handle inbound/outbound calls and track enrollment/renewal paperwork.
• Inform clients promptly of approvals and denials of coverage.
