Job summary

Clean Harbors is seeking an InSite Operations Manager I to lead onsite hazardous materials and waste program operations at a customer facility. You will serve as the primary client contact, ensuring compliance and coordinating waste, inventory, and logistics to support safe operations.

The ideal candidate brings strong environmental compliance knowledge, leadership experience, and the ability to manage multiple operational priorities in a client-facing setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with relevant environmental experience.
• 5-7 years in environmental services or onsite program management.
• Strong knowledge of EPA, DOT and environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance and coordination of waste collections at satellite accumulation areas.
• Manage cradle-to-grave hazardous waste operations, including generation, storage, labeling, tracking, and disposal.
• Conduct waste profiling and periodic waste stream reviews for compliance.
• Schedule and coordinate internal and external waste shipments with partners and customers.
• Provide small-scale emergency response support during business hours.
• Lead and support site inspections to maintain compliance and audit readiness.
• Maintain program documentation and records for audits.
• Present program performance and service results to the customer.
• Serve as primary contact for customer representatives at all levels.
• Coordinate logistics and cross-functional resources to meet customer needs.
• Maintain equipment and supplies to support operations.
• Support reporting needs, including waste tracking and compliance documentation.
