Job summary

Maxxima is seeking a highly organized Import Coordinator in Hauppauge, NY, to support international import, logistics, and customs compliance. This onsite role will manage import documentation, track shipments, and liaise with freight forwarders, brokers, carriers, and suppliers to ensure timely, compliant deliveries of LED lighting and electrical products.

With 3+ years in import operations and strong Excel/ERP skills, you will help maintain MAS/Sage systems, stay current on trade regulations,

Qualifications

• 3+ years of import operations or logistics experience.
• Knowledge of international trade regulations and customs compliance.
• Experience preparing and reviewing customs, import, and shipping documentation.
• Experience with DHL, UPS or similar freight forwarders and carriers.

Responsibilities

• Track international shipments and maintain import transaction records.
• Prepare and reconcile reports for management review.
• Coordinate with freight forwarders, brokers, carriers, and suppliers for smooth imports.
• Assist with landed cost estimates for air and ocean freight shipments.
• Support development of import procedures and policies as the product line grows.
• Collaborate with warehouse, customer service, and marketing on shipment updates.
