Job summary

Trinity Services Group Inc. is hiring an Assistant Food Service Director to partner with the Food Service Director in running a large food service operation within a jail/correctional facility.

The role includes supervising a team of food service workers and ensuring efficient meal preparation and distribution. You will report to a Food Service Director and lead efforts in training, hiring, and operational oversight.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2 years of management or supervisory experience in a food service position.
• 3 years of experience working in food service.
• ServSafe Certification required.
• Experience with purchasing, inventory, ordering and receiving.
• Experience managing and applying kitchen sanitation and safety standards.
• Knowledge of basic accounting and mathematical abilities for reports.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and food service management systems.

Responsibilities

• Guide, train, and manage the facility food service operation.
• Hire, orient, train and issue corrective action to team members.
• Oversee quantities of food prepared and served per plan.
• Maintain inventory accuracy for menu schedule.
• Ensure proper storage of food items.
• Maintain serving schedules per menu specs and safety guidelines.
• Maintain sanitary environment per Health Dept codes and regulations.
• Handle state inspections of food service operation.
• Other responsibilities as needed.
