Trinity Services Group is hiring an Assistant Food Service Director to work on-site inside a jail/correctional facility under the direction of the Food Service Director. The role involves planning activities for a large food service operation, supervising staff, and ensuring compliant, high-quality meal service.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, knowledge of food handling regulations, and a desire to continuously learn.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required or equivalent.
• Two years of management or supervisory experience in a food service position.
• Three years of experience working in food service.
• ServSafe Certification is required.
• Experience with purchasing, inventory, ordering and receiving.
• Experience managing and applying kitchen sanitation and safety standards and methods.
• Knowledge of basic accounting and ability to prepare reports.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and food service management systems.
• Prior institutional food service or restaurant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Guide, train, and manage the facility food service operation.
• Hire, orient, train and issue corrective action to team members.
• Develop positive connections with clients and communicate requirements.
• Oversee quantities of food prepared and served per menu/plan.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and prepped menu schedules.
• Ensure proper storage of food items.
• Maintain serving schedules per menu specifications and safety guidelines.
• Maintain sanitary environment per health codes and regulations.
• Responsible for state inspections of food service operation.
• Other duties as needed by the facility.
