Trinity Services Group is seeking an Assistant Food Service Director to partner with the Food Service Director in running a large jail-based operation. You will supervise a team of food service staff, ensuring timely preparation and distribution of meals in a secure facility.

You will hire, orient, train, and take corrective action when needed, while maintaining inventory, safety, and compliance with health and sanitation standards. This role is onsite and reports to the Food Service Director.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; 18+.
• Minimum 2 years of management or supervisory experience in food service.
• Minimum 3 years experience in food service operations.
• ServSafe Certification required.
• Experience with purchasing, inventory, ordering, and receiving.
• Experience with kitchen sanitation and safety standards.
• Basic accounting and math skills for reports.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and food service management systems.
• Prior institutional food service or restaurant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Guide, train, and manage the facility food service operation.
• Hire, orient, train and issue corrective action to team members.
• Develop positive connections with clients through effective communication.
• Oversee quantities of food prepared and served per menu and plan.
• Maintain inventory accuracy for planned menu schedules.
• Ensure proper storage of food items.
• Maintain serving schedules to meet menu specs and safety guidelines.
• Maintain a sanitary environment following health codes and regulations.
• Responsible for state or other inspections of food service operations.
• Other responsibilities as determined by needs.
