Job summary

Canon U.S.A., Inc. is seeking a customer-facing Field Service Technician to diagnose basic mechanical, software, and network failures and repair Canon equipment to standard specifications. The role requires travel, shift work, and on-call rotations, with a 24/7 service mindset.

You will maintain knowledge across product groups, complete Field Service and expense reports, and provide direction to junior technicians. A valid driver’s license and ability to lift 50 pounds are required.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required, plus 1 to 2 years of related experience.
• Basic understanding of internet environments and PDIF new-hire class.
• Ability to travel (valid driver’s license) and drive.
• Willingness to work in a 24/7 environment with shift work and on-call rotations.
• Must obtain required security/clearances to enter customer premises.
• Must lift up to 50 pounds and be active more than 50% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose basic mechanical, software, network, and system failures using established procedures.
• Service and repair designated equipment to Canon standards and specifications.
• Maintain knowledge of multiple product groups including basic troubleshooting.
• Meet customer demands with efficient, responsive, and accurate maintenance.
• Maintain Field Service Reports, Expense Reports, and Canon property.
• Provide guidance to less experienced technicians and escalate issues as needed.
• Deliver solutions for escalated technical or customer-service problems.
