Job summary

MIRATECH is seeking a Field Service Technician to support customers with on-site service, technical support, and training around SCR equipment. You will commission new systems, perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, and provide phone support.

Expect travel and daily field reporting, with coordination meetings and on-site training for operations and maintenance. You will need strong instrumentation knowledge, circuit proficiency, problem-solving ability, and willingness to travel 60-75%.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of industrial instrumentation & controls including analog transmitters, temperature/pressure measuring devices, PID controls.
• Proficiency with AC and DC Circuits including Relay Logic.
• Sharp analytical mind with an interest in engines, controls, and emissions.
• Enthusiasm to learn and become an expert.
• Demonstrated ability to make independent decisions and work in a loosely structured environment.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills; able to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Excellent problem solving skills.
• 60 - 75% overnight travel - with higher concentrations during peak seasons.
• 0-4 years prior field service technician experience or equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Able to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
• Proficient with MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Applicant must pass a proficiency test.
• Must possess valid driver's license
• Foreign language skills are a plus
• Must possess a passport or have the ability to obtain one

Responsibilities

• Commissioning the total system scope supplied by MIRATECH on new installations.
• Perform routine maintenance and service on existing products.
• Provide telephone support to customers including troubleshooting and replacement parts identification.
• Site coordination and project meetings.
• Post-commissioning customer training on operations and maintenance.
• Daily reports to customers and internal staff while in the field.
• Follow up customer calls after service work completion.
• Keep up-to-date on company products and services.
• Plan own work schedule efficiently.
• Maintain test equipment and special tools calibration.
