Job summary

Xtreme Solutions, Inc. (XSI) is seeking an experienced Field Technician to deliver hands-on IT support across multiple client sites in the Kearns/Salt Lake County area. The role emphasizes direct user interaction, troubleshooting in the field, and resolving issues onsite rather than remote-only support.

You will handle endpoint configuration, software deployment, patching, and device replacement, while supporting Microsoft 365 environments and coordinating with engineers for complex problems.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on IT field support or related experience.
• Experience troubleshooting Windows desktops and peripherals.
• Experience supporting Microsoft 365 environments.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi, VPNs, and basic network troubleshooting.
• Ability to travel between client locations and provide onsite support.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite technical support at client locations in Salt Lake County.
• Troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, and end-user issues.
• Install, configure, deploy, and maintain workstations and equipment.
• Support Microsoft 365 apps (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint).
• Assist with AD and Entra ID, password resets, MFA, and permissions.
• Diagnose connectivity and network issues; assist with switches, APs, and firewalls.
• Document troubleshooting steps and update asset inventories.
• Escalate complex issues to senior engineers as needed.
