Job summary

Texas State Technical College seeks a Field Support Technician to deliver onsite and remote support across campuses in Texas. You will perform hardware repairs, software troubleshooting, data recovery, and virus removal while guiding users through solutions.

The role requires CJIS background check and evening/weekend availability as needed. The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of desktop and network troubleshooting experience, proficiency with Windows 10/11 and MS Office, and strong communication

Qualifications

• 1-2 years desktop and network troubleshooting across multiple platforms.
• Experience with Microsoft Windows 10/11 and MS Office suite.
• Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers and clients.
• CJIS background check required or willing to pass.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person and remote end-user support at TSTC campuses.
• Escalate problems and ensure timely resolution and proper ticket closure.
• Install, upgrade and maintain PC desktops, software and peripherals.
• Assist clients with operation of office equipment and knowledge base access.
• Coordinate with teams to hand-off and document troubleshooting steps.
