Job summary

Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory is seeking a Facility Manager I/II to provide advanced technical and administrative oversight for site facilities, including office spaces, labs, and support structures. This on-site role demands leadership in safety, compliance, and project coordination across multiple infrastructure disciplines.

You will manage plans, perform risk mitigation, and mentor facility coordinators while ensuring operations remain within safety baselines and budgets.

Qualifications

• Ability to secureand maintain a U.S. DOE Q-level security clearance which requires U.S. citizenship.
• High level knowledge and advanced technical skills in operation and maintenance of HVAC, building automation, architectural, and facility utility systems.
• Significant experience in facility management including maintenance and operations; understanding interdependencies of facility systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced technical and administrative oversight of LLNL facility activities and ensure systems function reliably.
• Maintain awareness of current and future facility infrastructure needs and risks.
• Determine office-space needs, plan mitigations, and manage safety documentation.
• Lead regular facility walkthroughs and close deficiencies.
• Coordinate with financial analysts on budget and accruals throughout the fiscal year.
