Job summary
Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory seeks a Risk Manager to develop and lead risk assessments for advanced engineering programs. You will guide risk identification, mitigation, requirements development, and verification planning across complex systems, partnering with project teams to ensure technical soundness and timely delivery.
The role requires DOE Q-level clearance, a strong engineering background, and proven leadership in risk management.
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship with ability to obtain DOE Q clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a relevant technical field.
- Advanced knowledge in systems engineering and project planning.
- Experience with risk assessments, verification, and project controls.
Responsibilities
- Lead risk activities: identify, assess, document, communicate, mitigate risks.
- Develop and manage system, component, and interface requirements and verification planning.
- Coordinate with project teams to ensure requirements are technically sound.
- Guide project scope, priorities, resources, and schedules to meet milestones.
