Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory seeks a Nuclear Safety Manager to lead the Nuclear Safety Functional Area (NSFA) and oversee day-to-day operations, readiness, and nuclear material storage. You will contribute strategic vision and regulatory oversight to ensure safe, compliant nuclear operations.

This role is part of the ESH Directorate within the Operations & Business Principal Associate Directorate, with eligibility for telecommuting after the probationary period and opportunities to

Qualifications

• Active DOE Q-level clearance or Top Secret clearance at hire.
• Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Extensive experience leading nuclear safety programs in large organizations.
• Expert knowledge of nuclear facility regulations, policies, and practices.

Responsabilités

• Lead NSFA staff (30+ employees) and ensure safe, compliant nuclear safety practices.
• Provide strategic oversight and management of NSFA programs and resources.
• Engage customers and stakeholders to ensure effective collaboration and mission execution.
• Liaise with DOE and regulatory bodies on interpretation and compliance.
• Develop and monitor data-driven performance measures for NSFA.
