Job summary

Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead complex facility transition, decommissioning and demolition projects on-site at Livermore, CA. You will oversee the full lifecycle from assessment to site remediation, coordinating with safety, environmental, and federal teams to ensure compliant execution and timely closures.

Qualifications

U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a DOE Q security clearance.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management or CMAA certification.
Advanced knowledge of construction and demolition methods, materials, codes, and ability to read blueprints.
Experience with constructability reviews of bid packages.
Significant experience managing construction and demolition projects and budgets.
Experience interpreting safety standards, OSHA regulations, and related policies.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency with MS Office, MS Project, CMMS, and Procore.

Responsibilities

Provide advanced technical and administrative direction for LLNL construction and D&D projects.
Develop practical solutions by evaluating alternatives, risks, and project impacts.
Monitor subcontractor safety programs and manage time-critical milestones.
Create project logistics plans including waste handling and disposal.
Coordinate procurement and delivery of government furnished equipment/material.
Review safety plans and approve project safety documents with LLNL ES&H stakeholders.
Oversee testing/commissioning and assemble project close-out documentation.
Perform other duties as assigned.
