Job summary

Elon University’s Queens Campus seeks an Event Technology Services Lead to manage day-to-day AV operations for campus events. The role requires hands-on setup, troubleshooting, and on-site leadership to ensure reliable and professional event experiences.

The position emphasizes collaboration with the Assistant Director, staff development, and advanced AV skills including streaming and Dante routing, with occasional evenings and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate or technical training in AV fields with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in AV-related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and provide hands-on technical support for campus events, including setup, operation, troubleshooting, and breakdown of AV systems; advise clients on tech solutions.
• Ensure a professional, responsive, customer-focused experience for students, faculty, staff, guests, and external clients.
• Coordinate day-to-day operations, staffing, equipment readiness, and priorities at Queens.
• Serve as primary on-site contact and escalate as needed to the Assistant Director.
• Supervise and train student staff, guiding event assignments and technical expectations.
• Maintain equipment readiness and perform preventive maintenance and basic repairs.
• Develop policies, workflows, and service offerings with campus partners; stay informed on emerging tech.
• Support inclusive community building and participate in campus activities.
