Job summary

Clean Harbors, Inc. seeks an InSite Operations Manager I to lead onsite hazardous materials and waste program operations at a customer facility.

You will coordinate waste, inventory, and logistics while ensuring regulatory compliance and safe, quality service delivery. The role requires strong environmental compliance knowledge, leadership experience, and the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a client-facing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5-7 years of environmental services, hazardous waste management, or onsite program management.
• Strong knowledge of EPA, DOT, and applicable regulations.
• Experience managing hazardous waste areas, inspections, profiling, shipment coordination, and compliance documentation.
• Excellent client-facing communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance and coordination of waste collections at satellite accumulation areas and oversee multiple central accumulation areas.
• Manage cradle-to-grave hazardous waste operations including generation, storage, packaging, labeling, tracking, shipment coordination, and disposal.
• Conduct waste profiling and periodic reviews to ensure regulatory compliance and best-value disposal technologies.
• Schedule and coordinate internal and external waste shipments with partners, disposal outlets, and customer representatives.
• Provide on-site emergency response support during business hours as needed.
• Lead regular site inspections to maintain compliance and audit readiness.
• Maintain program documentation and records to support audits and reporting.
• Present program performance and service results to the customer on a regular basis.
• Act as the primary client contact at all levels to ensure issue resolution and service satisfaction.
• Coordinate logistics and cross-functional resources to meet customer needs and maintain service continuity.
