Job summary

StratEdge IT Consulting INC in New York, NY is seeking an experienced Desktop Support Engineer to provide hands-on technical support for Windows workstations, AD, MDM, and endpoint security in a large enterprise environment.

You will deploy Windows images with MDT, manage user accounts and Group Policy, troubleshoot VPN, MFA, and printing, and contribute to security hardening while developing PowerShell scripts to automate tasks.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in desktop support or IT engineering.
• Experience with Windows 7/10 64-bit environments.
• Experience with Active Directory administration and Group Policy.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience with MDM solutions.
• Experience with endpoint security tools (antivirus, PKI, disk encryption).

Responsibilities

• Provide desktop hardware/software troubleshooting and resolution.
• Manage Windows workstation deployment and maintenance.
• Administer AD accounts, groups, permissions, and GPOs.
• Support MDM solutions and endpoint configuration policies.
• Deploy Windows images using MDT and provisioning.
• Troubleshoot VPN connectivity, MFA, and network printing.
• Apply endpoint security controls and hardening.
• Troubleshoot DHCP, VLANs, ACLs, and firewalls.
• Develop PowerShell scripts to automate tasks.
• Follow cybersecurity standards and applicable compliance.
• Document issues, steps, and resolutions.
