Job summary

Bancroft in Swedesboro, NJ is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) for the Gloucester Day Program. Work Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm, onsite, full-time, 40 hours.

You’ll support autistic and developmentally challenged individuals, carry out behavioral plans, assist with daily living activities, and accompany to appointments. A driver’s license and HS diploma required; six months related experience or a degree in psychology or social work preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid Driver’s License in legal name and current address, with at least 1 year driving experience.
• Six months related work experience or Bachelor's degree or enrollment in psychology/social work.

Responsibilities

• Carry out behavioral treatment plans and record direct observational data.
• Assist with daily living activities including hygiene, meals, money management, and housekeeping.
• Provide personal care and supervision, teaching daily living and skills.
• Accompany individuals to healthcare appointments and community outings; provide safe transportation.
• Complete paperwork and maintain communication with residents and families.
