Job summary

Bancroft is hiring a Direct Support Professional for the Gloucester Program in Mullica Hill, NJ. This onsite role supports autistic and developmentally challenged individuals, carrying out treatment plans and assisting with daily living tasks.

Strong communication and a compassionate approach are essential, along with CPR/First Aid as needed. Responsibilities include data collection, documenting progress, transporting to appointments, and facilitating community outings while upholding Bancroft's

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid Driver’s License in the candidate's legal name with current address and at least 1 year driving experience.
• Six months of related work experience or a Bachelor's degree/current enrollment in psychology, social work, or related field.
• Aspiration to work with autistic, intellectually and developmentally challenged individuals.

Responsibilities

• Carry out behavioral treatment plans and collect direct observational data.
• Assist with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, money management, and housekeeping.
• Provide personal care and supervision, helping individuals learn daily living and functional skills.
• Accompany individuals to healthcare appointments and community outings with safe transportation.
