Job summary

Sarasota County Government is seeking an onsite Technical Support professional to troubleshoot and resolve Tier 2 hardware, software, and connectivity issues across County facilities.

You will deploy and refresh computers, support EIT projects, and provide hands-on support while operating a County vehicle. The role requires a two-year degree or equivalent experience and includes a daily schedule of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with on-call duties.

Qualifications

• Two-year degree with two years of desk-side support experience.
• Bachelor's degree with some related experience in IT fields.
• Substitution of four years of related work for formal education may apply.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve Tier 2 hardware, software, connectivity, and technology service requests
• Provide onsite technical support across County facilities while operating an assigned County vehicle
• Prepare, configure, deploy, replace, and support computers and peripherals as part of refresh programs
• Collaborate with EIT teams and escalate complex issues as needed
• Create, maintain, and update technical documentation and support procedures
• Participate in EIT projects including testing, deployment, documentation, and training
• Provide onsite support for priority incidents and operational needs
• Participate in 24/7/365 on-call rotation
• Maintain knowledge through training, research, and self-learning
• Operate and maintain an assigned County vehicle
