Job summary
Sarasota County is seeking an on-site Desktop Support Technician to troubleshoot and resolve Tier 2 hardware, software, and connectivity issues across county facilities. You will deploy and support computers, peripherals, and documentation, while collaborating with EIT teams on high-priority issues and training.
A valid Florida driver’s license is required. The ideal candidate holds an associate or bachelor’s degree with related IT experience and certifications such as Microsoft 365 Modern
Qualifications
- Two years of desktop support experience or related role
- Bachelor’s degree with related experience may substitute for education
- Valid Florida driver’s license within 30 days of hire
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and resolve Tier 2 hardware, software, connectivity, and tech service requests
- Provide onsite support across County facilities with County vehicle
- Prepare, configure, deploy, replace and support computers and peripherals
- Collaborate with EIT teams on complex/high-priority issues
- Create and update technical documentation and support procedures
- Participate in projects including testing, deployment, and training
- Provide onsite support for priority incidents and operational needs
- Participate in 24/7/365 on-call rotation
- Maintain knowledge through training and self-directed learning
