Job summary

Sarasota County is seeking an onsite Desktop Support Technician to provide hands-on technology support across county facilities. You will troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity, deploy computers and peripherals, and contribute to EIT projects and documentation.

The role requires a two-year degree and 2+ years in desktop support or a related field, with a valid Florida driver’s license within 30 days. A hybrid mix of deployment, training, and on-call duties is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field may substitute for experience.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot Tier 2 hardware, software, connectivity, and service requests.
• Provide onsite support across county facilities and deployments.
• Prepare, configure, deploy, and support computers and peripherals.
• Create and update technical documentation and knowledge articles.
• Participate in on-call rotation and 24/7/365 coverage.
• Support EIT projects, testing, deployment, and training.
