Job summary

Pyramid Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Desktop Support Technician for an onsite role in Lafayette, IN. The contract position (06+ months) requires hands-on hardware and software support for end users and enterprise IT operations.

You will handle IMAC activities, asset management, and user-facing troubleshooting while contributing to ongoing IT projects. The role emphasizes strong customer service, punctuality, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced corporate environment.

Qualifications

• 3-7 years of experience in desktop support and IT hardware repair.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of PC and laptop components (motherboards, hard drives, RAM, CPUs).
• Proficiency in troubleshooting Windows OS, Microsoft Outlook, network printers, and peripherals.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, test, and image desktops, laptops, monitors, printers, and other IT hardware.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues including Windows errors and printer connectivity.
• Perform IMAC activities including large-scale PC refreshes and printer migrations.
• Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain hardware, software, and peripherals.
• Maintain IT asset inventory and perform hardware replacements, data backups, and end-user data transfers.
• Provide hands-on server and network infrastructure support including installations and configurations.
• Assist with server backups, recovery procedures, security maintenance, and network performance issues.
• Provide in-person technical support to end users, manage support tickets, and ensure timely issue resolution.
• Support multiple IT projects, document process improvements, and assist with escalations.
