Job summary

Spectraforce Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Desktop Support Technician for Lafayette, IN. This in-person role runs Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:30 PM, with on-call rotation.

The contract is 3 months with a potential conversion to a permanent position and a pay rate of $25 per hour. The candidate will perform hardware repairs, imaging, and diagnostics, support enterprise server and network environments, and handle end-user assistance at client sites, with a focus on reliability and on-time ticket

Qualifications

• 3–7 years' experience supporting PC hardware and software.
• Deep understanding of diagnosing, troubleshooting, replacing PC hardware components.
• Experience with server and network support within an enterprise environment.
• Comfortable with in-person end-user support at client sites.

Responsibilities

• Repair, test, image and clean PCs, laptops, monitors, printers and related hardware.
• Troubleshoot software and peripherals; set up, configure and add hardware.
• Handle asset management; IMAC events for printer migration and PC refreshes.
• Follow up on tickets and ensure timely resolution.
• Assist with server configurations, backups, recoveries, and security procedures.
• Assist with network hardware installation and maintenance; perform system admin tasks.
• Provide in-person technical support at customer sites.
• Back up and protect end-user data; document improvements to processes.
• Support Site Leader and escalate as needed; manage multiple projects.
• Work in enterprise environment with reliability and team collaboration.
