Job summary

UNC Health in Morrisville, NC is seeking a Service/End User Support Technician to install, configure, manage and support desktops, portable computers and peripherals across a multi-platform network. You will ensure end-user productivity by resolving incidents and providing initial training on system operations.

The role requires a 40-hour work week on-site with the UNC Health Shared Services ISD End User Support team, and involves active participation in security and asset management processes.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management or related field.
• Two years of relevant experience if a High School diploma or GED.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in installation and configuration of desktop hardware and software.
• Provide technical support and incident resolution related to hardware and software.
• Perform desktop moves as needed to meet user/organization needs.
• Maintain desktop peripheral inventory and assist with asset management.
• Evaluate product compatibility and assist with mainframe application options.
