Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Desktop Engineer Intern to deliver hands-on, onsite IT support that keeps end users productive and devices running smoothly. You will be part of the internal IT team and collaborate with site staff.

You are currently pursuing a STEM degree, can work 20 hours per week onsite, and will configure desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals following SOPs. The internship lasts 9 months to 1 year with potential extension.

Qualifications

• Current enrollment in a 2-year or 4-year accredited college or university pursuing a STEM major.
• Availability to work part-time, 20 hours per week onsite.
• Attention to detail and quality.
• Reliable transportation to travel between HQ and Retail locations as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite technical support for basic hardware issues with desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
• Provide onsite support for printer-related issues and requests (label, mobile, receipt printers, toners).
• Configure new desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals per SOPs.
• Review and update knowledge base and SOPs; create new SOPs for evolving processes.
