Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Desktop Engineer Intern to provide hands-on, onsite technical support that keeps end users productive and devices running smoothly at the Hooksett, New Hampshire office. You will join the internal IT support team and collaborate with site staff.

You will configure new desktops, laptops and printers, review and update SOPs, and create new procedures as needed. The internship lasts 9 months to 1 year, starts in October 2026, and is onsite five days a week with 20 hours per

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in a 2-year or 4-year accredited college or university, pursuing a STEM major.
Availability to work part-time, 20 hours per week (5 days a week, 4 hours a day), onsite.
A high level of quality and strong attention to detail.
Reliable transportation and ability to travel between HQ and Retail locations as required.

Responsibilities

Provide onsite technical support for basic hardware-related issues with desktops, laptops, and peripheral devices.
Provide onsite support for printer-related issues and requests, including label printers, mobile printers, receipt printers, and toners.
Configure new desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals according to standard operating procedures.
Review the knowledge base and SOPs, update outdated SOPs for new or changing processes, and create SOPs for newly defined processes and procedures.
