Job summary

TechLink Systems seeks an experienced On-Site Service Engineer to provide hands-on support for enterprise data center servers and AI infrastructure. You will diagnose, repair, install, and maintain server hardware in data centers, field service, or customer sites.

The role emphasizes on-site troubleshooting, documentation of service activities, and direct communication with customers and internal teams during service events.

Qualifications

• Experience diagnosing, repairing and maintaining enterprise server hardware in a data center, field service, or customer-facing environment.
• Strong ability to troubleshoot server hardware, BIOS/firmware issues and component failures.
• Excellent documentation of service activities and clear communication with customers and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site technical support for Dell PowerEdge and other enterprise server hardware
• Diagnose and resolve server hardware failures and system issues to minimize customer downtime
• Perform hands-on hardware installation, removal, replacement, and repair (e.g., memory, CPUs, power supplies, fans, drives)
• Handle rack-and-stack, server installation, cabling, component swaps, and hardware configuration
• Troubleshoot issues involving server hardware, BIOS/firmware, operating systems, and hardware diagnostics
• Perform firmware and BIOS updates and use server management tools like Dell iDRAC
• Escalate complex issues when appropriate and document resolution details
• Communicate status and progress with customers and internal teams during service events
