Job summary

Unisys Corporation is seeking an On-Site Service Engineer to provide hands-on support for enterprise data center servers and hardware environments, including next‑generation AI infrastructure.

This hands-on server hardware role focuses on diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining critical components in data centers, field service, or customer sites, with emphasis on proven hardware expertise and customer-facing communication.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on experience supporting enterprise servers and data center hardware
• Direct, hands-on experience working on server hardware
• Experience troubleshooting and replacing components such as memory, CPUs, power supplies, storage, RAID/HBA, NICs, fans, or GPUs
• Experience working with rack-mounted enterprise servers in a data center, field service, or customer environment
• Familiarity with Linux or similar operating systems
• Experience with hardware diagnostics, BIOS/firmware, and server management tools
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, travel to customer sites, and support on-call schedules

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site support for Dell PowerEdge and other enterprise server hardware
• Diagnose and resolve server hardware failures to minimize downtime
• Install, remove, and repair server components
• Rack-and-stack, server installation, cabling, component swaps, and hardware configuration
• Troubleshoot BIOS/firmware, OS, and hardware diagnostics
• Use server management tools such as Dell iDRAC
• Participate in on-call rotations and document activities
