Job summary

Unisys Corporation seeks an On-Site Service Engineer to provide hands-on support for enterprise data center servers and hardware. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain server components in customer-facing environments, and work with Dell PowerEdge and other enterprise hardware.

The role requires 3+ years of hands-on server hardware experience, familiarity with BIOS/firmware, Linux, and server management tools.

Qualifications

3+ years of hands-on experience supporting enterprise servers or data center hardware.
Direct, hands-on experience with installing, diagnosing, repairing, or replacing server components.
Experience with memory, CPUs, power supplies, storage, RAID/HBA, NICs, PCIe components, or GPUs.
Able to lift up to 50 lbs and travel to customer sites

Responsibilities

Provide on-site technical support for Dell PowerEdge and other enterprise server hardware.
Diagnose and resolve server hardware failures to minimize downtime.
Perform hardware installation, removal, replacement, and repair of components.
Rack-and-stack, cabling, component swaps, and hardware configuration.
Troubleshoot BIOS/firmware, OS, and hardware diagnostics.
Update firmware/BIOS and use server management tools (Dell iDRAC or equivalents).
Document service activities, replacements, and resolutions; escalate when needed.
Participate in on-call rotations and communicate status to customers and teams.
