Job summary

Unisys Corporation is seeking an On-Site Service Engineer to provide hands-on support for enterprise data center servers and hardware environments, including next-generation AI infrastructure. This is a hands-on server hardware and break/fix role with direct experience diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining enterprise server hardware in data center or customer-facing settings.

Qualifications

3+ years hands-on experience supporting enterprise servers, data center hardware, or similar infrastructure.
Direct hardware installation/removal and repair on server components.
Experience with memory, CPUs, power supplies, storage, RAID/HBA, NICs, fans/cooling systems, PCIe components, GPUs.
Rack-mounted servers in data centers, field service, or customer environments.
Familiar with Linux or similar operating systems.

Responsibilities

Provide on-site technical support for Dell PowerEdge and other enterprise server hardware.
Diagnose and resolve server hardware failures to minimize downtime.
Perform rack-and-stack, installation, cabling, and hardware configuration.
Troubleshoot hardware, BIOS/firmware, OS, and diagnostics issues.
Update firmware/BIOS and use server management tools (e.g., Dell iDRAC).
Document service activities and resolutions; escalate when needed.
Participate in on-call rotations and provide extended coverage as required.
