Job summary

Unisys is seeking an On-Site Service Engineer to provide hands-on support for enterprise server hardware in a data center environment. The role focuses on diagnosing and repairing server components, performing installs, and maintaining hardware across customer sites.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of hands-on enterprise server experience, familiarity with Linux, and the ability to work independently in a customer-facing setting, with on-call flexibility as required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in enterprise server support.
• Hands-on hardware installation and repair experience.
• Experience with server components: memory, CPUs, power, storage, NICs.
• Experience with data center, field service, or customer environments.
• Familiarity with Linux or similar OS.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site support for Dell PowerEdge and other enterprise servers.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware failures to minimize downtime.
• Perform installation, removal, replacement, and repair of components.
• Document service activities and resolutions.
• Coordinate with customers and internal teams during service events.
• Participate in on-call rotations and extended coverage.
