Job summary

Unisys Corporation is seeking an experienced On-Site Service Engineer to provide hands-on support for enterprise data center servers and hardware environments, including next-generation AI infrastructure.

The role focuses on diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining server hardware in data centers and customer sites, with an emphasis on enterprise servers and standard hardware components. AI experience is not required, but strong hardware expertise is essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on experience supporting enterprise servers or data center hardware
• Experience installing, diagnosing, repairing server components
• Familiarity with Linux or similar operating systems
• Strong troubleshooting and independent problem-solving skills
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and travel to customer sites

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site technical support for Dell PowerEdge and other enterprise server hardware
• Diagnose and resolve server hardware failures to minimize downtime
• Perform hands-on hardware installation, removal, replacement and repair
• Rack-and-stack, server installation, cabling, component swaps and hardware configuration
• Troubleshoot issues involving server hardware, BIOS/firmware, OS, and diagnostics
• Update firmware/BIOS and use server management tools like Dell iDRAC
• Escalate complex issues and document service actions clearly
• Participate in on-call rotations and extend coverage as required
