Job summary

Everforth Apex is seeking a Network Administrator Operator for our Ashburn, VA data center. This onsite role provides hands-on technical support to ensure continuous availability, coordinating, monitoring, and servicing critical environments.

You will perform installations, maintenance, and incident resolution, run nightly shifts, and work with vendors. Strong emphasis on cabling, rack builds, and asset management; Cisco routers/switches experience a plus.

Qualifications

• Intermediate Data Center or IT Operations experience.
• Experience with data center tools and hardware.
• Experience with out-of-band management and PDUs.
• Familiarity with LAN/WAN topologies, protocols, and standards.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented and organized cabling practices.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain network and server hardware, rack and stack.
• Support data center staging, deployment, asset management.
• Execute site builds and refreshes per standards.
• Install and test enterprise fiber and copper cabling; Cat6 terminations.
• Maintain inventory documentation.
• Troubleshoot incidents and coordinate with teams/vendors.
• Create/update rack elevations and site procedures.
