Job summary

Salute is hiring a Critical Facility Engineer II to manage electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety systems in a Dallas-area data center. The role demands hands-on maintenance, rapid emergency response, and close collaboration with clients and vendors.

Onsite work at Royse City, TX with relocation assistance if not local. The CFE II will ensure peak uptime, execute preventive maintenance, and mentor junior staff while coordinating with building automation and vendor teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on data center equipment operation and maintenance.
• High school diploma or GED; electrical/HVAC training or certifications preferred.
• Strong analytical troubleshooting skills and ability to perform under high pressure.

Responsibilities

• Place SAFETY at the top of everything; enforce LOTO and NFPA 70E compliance.
• Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and life-safety systems for >99.999% uptime.
• Execute complex preventive and corrective maintenance and follow SOPs/MOPs/EOPs.
• Inspect building systems and lead rapid response to indoor emergencies and humidity issues.
• Maintain CMMS: create, close, and track work requests and work orders.
• Coordinate with third-party service contractors and ensure quality improvements.
• Provide technical guidance to junior personnel during rounds and maintenance tasks.
• Support 24x7x365 shift operations.
