Salute is seeking a Critical Facility Engineer II to manage and maintain data center electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety systems onsite in Royse City, TX, ensuring uptime and reliability for mission-critical servers. The role requires adapting to 24x7 operations and coordinating with clients and vendors.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of hands-on experience operating, installing, and maintaining data center critical equipment.
• High school diploma or GED plus 2+ years of specialized experience or training in electrical systems, refrigeration, and/or HVAC.
• Working knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70E, NFPA 72, NFPA 25, OSHA regulations; ability to read electrical/mechanical diagrams.
• Strong analytical troubleshooting skills and ability to perform under high-pressure emergency conditions.

Responsibilities

• Place safety at the top of all tasks; enforce Lockout/Tagout, arc flash protection, and safety compliance in all maintenance.
• Operate, monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and life-safety systems to sustain >99.999% uptime.
• Execute complex preventive and corrective maintenance; follow SOPs, MOPs, and EOPs; perform emergency procedures.
• Conduct building system inspections (HVAC, electrical distribution, BAS) and lead rapid response to indoor incidents.
• Maintain proficiency in creating and closing Work Requests/Work Orders; document root causes and verify completed work.
• Coordinate and oversee third‑party service contractors; monitor performance and enforce safety standards.
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers during rounds and maintenance tasks.
• Shift requirement: 24x7x365; must work nights, weekends, holidays.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
