Job summary

Salute is seeking a Critical Facility Engineer III to lead operations at the Royse City, TX data center. This onsite role emphasizes reliability, regulatory compliance, shift leadership, and hands-on troubleshooting of electrical, mechanical, and BAS systems.

You will oversee preventive maintenance, emergency response, and commissioning activities, mentor MSOs and junior CFEs, and coordinate with the Site Manager and clients to ensure peak uptime and cost-effective operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6+ years in operation, installation, and maintenance of data center equipment.
• GED or high school diploma with verified trade experience or engineering degree.
• Strong ability to read electrical and mechanical diagrams.
• Deep knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70E, NFPA 72, NFPA 25 and local codes.

Responsibilities

• Ensure uncompromising safety leadership and compliance with LOTO, arc flash, OSHA and local standards.
• Provide applied electrical, mechanical, control, and water chemistry expertise for the data center.
• Mentor and supervise shift personnel in maintenance of critical facility equipment.
• Lead problem investigations and rapid response during abnormal conditions and emergencies.
• Develop and track preventive and predictive maintenance schedules in collaboration with Site Manager.
• Interface with management, contractors, and engineering consultants for phased construction commissioning and IST.
• Manage contractors and vendors for daily operations and maintenance; monitor performance.
• Drive efficiency and cost reduction through data-driven improvements.
• Maintain CMMS governance and conduct regular inspections of building systems.
• Interface with executives, clients, and internal departments as needed.
