Job summary

Salute Inc. is seeking a Critical Facilities Engineer II in Afton, TX to maintain and improve data center infrastructure with a focus on safety and reliability.

You will work with electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety systems to ensure 99.999% uptime and coordinate with vendors and clients. The role requires knowledge of a wide range of data center equipment and preventative maintenance, with opportunities to work on commissioning and system testing.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of directly related experience in the operation, installation, and maintenance of data center critical equipment.
• High school diploma or GED; two+ years’ experience in electrical systems, refrigeration and/or HVAC.
• Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems used in a data center environment, including feeders, transformers, generators, switchgear, UPS, PDU, chillers, BAS.
• ABET-accredited bachelor’s degree in engineering or engineering technology; mechanical and/or electrical certifications.

Responsibilities

• Place Safety at the top of anything and everything that they do – without fail.
• Operate, monitor, maintain, and respond to abnormal conditions of facility systems.
• Complete planned and ad‑hoc preventive maintenance work assignments across electrical, mechanical, and building systems.
• Conduct periodic inspections of building systems to ensure clean, functional, and safe conditions.
• Directly interface with management, contractors, and consultants for data center commissioning and testing of new systems.
