Job summary

Align is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee the fit-out of hyperscale data center white space within colocation environments. The role involves coordinating trades, sequencing work, ensuring QA/QC, and delivering mission-critical infrastructure on-site in the Atlanta metro area with travel as needed.

The ideal candidate will have strong data center construction management experience, including containment, overhead systems, structural supports, HVAC, and low voltage

Qualifications

• 5-10+ years of construction management experience, preferably in mission-critical or data center environments.
• Proven experience managing white space fit-out/tenant improvement projects in colocation or hyperscale data centers.
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing, trade coordination, and site management.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple subcontractors and deliver projects on schedule.
• Strong QA/QC processes knowledge, including inspection of support systems and overhead installations.
• Project Management skills including scheduling and budgeting.
• Candidate must have strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Strong stakeholder and client communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site construction management for data center white space fit-out projects.
• Oversee installation of containment systems, overhead cable trays, ladder rack conveyance, structural supports, cooling and power distribution.
• Manage trade contractors and ensure proper sequencing to maintain schedule and avoid conflicts.
• Coordinate with general contractors, subcontractors, and client stakeholders.
• Enforce QC processes to ensure installations meet design specifications and standards.
• Monitor project schedule, budget, and progress; identify and resolve risks/issues.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and site protocols.
• Review drawings, submittals, RFIs, and shop drawings related to overhead systems.
• Verify installation tolerances and anchoring; support commissioning and handover.
