Job summary

WellSpace in Sacramento is seeking a Crisis Center Training Supervisor to oversee the training program and supervision of volunteers and staff while supporting 9-8-8 Lifeline services. You’ll ensure documentation, reporting, and adherence to national standards under the Director and Program Manager.

The role requires leadership experience in crisis services, coaching skills, and a commitment to serving underserved populations, with flexible hours including some evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Science or related field; or 4 years in suicide prevention/crisis service.
• Master’s in mental health field preferred.
• 1+ year in a leadership role coaching staff to meet performance targets.
• Knowledge of suicide prevention and local treatment resources is desirable.
• Ability to train and supervise volunteers; maintain confidentiality and ethics.

Responsibilities

• Assist Director and Management in managing the crisis center training program.
• Recruit, screen, train, and supervise volunteers and staff.
• Provide consultation and debriefing to crisis counselors; document interventions.
• Maintain accurate records; ensure compliance with reporting requirements.
• Attend meetings and provide coverage for crisis line staffing as needed.
