Job summary

D.R. Horton, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to support the Superintendent in managing the community job site, ensuring quality, safety, and on-time completion.

The role involves coordinating subcontractors, inspections, and homeowner interactions to deliver a high-quality home. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED with 6 months to 2 years of related experience, strong communication, and the ability to read construction documents.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 6 months to 2 years of related experience.
• Valid driver’s license; willing to drive among construction sites.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Commitment to customer satisfaction.
• Ability to read plans and construction documents.
• Ability to work overtime and extra hours as needed.

Responsibilities

• Inspect each home daily to assure quality and adherence to plans.
• Schedule and walk inspections with inspectors.
• Oversee home walkthroughs and finalize close-out items.
• Assist in managing subcontractors and safety on site.
• Support construction schedule and budget adherence.
• Provide excellent customer service throughout construction.
