Job summary

CMTA, a Legence Company, is seeking a Construction Site Superintendent to ensure smooth execution of projects after design. The role requires on-site leadership of HVAC/mechanical and commercial construction with strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

You will work with administrative staff, engineers, and subcontractors, manage schedules, safety programs, and commissioning support, travel to sites, and contribute to warranty support and O&M documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience leading on-site construction teams and coordinating trade contractors.
• Strong communication and written reporting skills.
• Ability to develop schedules, track milestones, and manage safety programs.
• Travel to job sites is required.

Responsibilities

• Review project drawings for scope, constructability, and cost savings.
• Develop construction schedule and manage subs to hit required milestones on schedule.
• Develop project safety binder and review with subcontractors.
• Administer safety program.
• Assist with managing equipment lead times.
• Order construction related items (dumpsters, storage, etc.).
• Lead construction review meetings.
• Weekly field reports documenting progress for the Owner.
• Assist with the commissioning effort.
• Register applicable equipment for warranties.
• Schedule factory start-ups and ensure start-up sheets are filled out and submitted as required for warranties.
• Owner training – scheduling, coordination, etc.
• Project punch lists.
• Address project issues.
• Help resolve warranty issues as needed.
• Develop O&M manuals and as-builts.
