Job summary

Cec Facilities Llc is seeking a Safety Coordinator to implement safety programs, coach field teams, and oversee audits at construction sites. The role emphasizes incident investigation, corrective actions, and promoting safe behaviors across projects.

Responsibilities include daily ORM board documentation, site safety orientations, power tool inspections, and subcontractor safety compliance, with shifts including days, nights, and weekends as project schedules require.

Qualifications

• Degree or extensive training in environmental health and safety discipline a plus.
• 1 - 3 years in construction safety experience (electrical, mechanical safety experience preferred)
• CPR/FA Certified
• Ability to present and train others
• Ability to work independently, strong communication skills with the ability to influence behaviors
• Bi-lingual desired
• Understanding of electrical industry construction and general industry consensus standards such as NFPA, NESC, ASTM, and ANSI
• Experience with construction workforce desired
• Safety certifications in competency desired

Responsibilities

• Assist and coach Crew Foreman/General Foremen in ORM boards and JHA development.
• Safety Coordinator will photo-document ORM board daily.
• Submit Site Safety Audit reports daily with findings and corrective actions.
• Interact with field personnel and site supervision for safety feedback.
• Deliver job site safety orientations for new employees.
• Assist site supervision in incident investigations and root cause analysis.
• Audit power tools and equipment for proper maintenance.
• Ensure subcontractor compliance with safety rules and regulations.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
